[but as pissed off as Kaito is (evident by the black, blue and yellow bruise quickly forming on the knuckles of one hand), there's still a murder to solve here. he can be found, sometime after the morning investigation, poking idly around the motel. he hasn't found anything else of note, and doesn't really expect to at this point, but still. . .]

[he's definitively more subdued today]

[the lounge is becoming Kaito's favorite sulk spot, tbh]

[because after the trial he can be found there, staring at a mostly untouched glass of chocolate milk. he's lost in thought, gaze unfocused. barely aware of the world around him]

[he wasn't a stalker. honest!! the fact that he followed Akira from the executive suite back down to the pool was a total. . . coincidence. . . yeah]

[okay no it wasn't BUT HE'S STILL NOT A STALKER. hi Akira, someone else is looking at that gross murky pool water with you, and making faces. even though his snarkiness seems to be much more subdued than normal]
