Redemption? That's an interesting answer.

[Though he wouldn't be surprised if Andersen has pieced it together.]

[Girge listens, his expression unreadable as Andersen talks. He's not even sure how to identify the emotions that flicker by. But at the end of it, he smiles, as he always does.
(I thought that I could do anything and I think that even now—)
... This time, though, there's a hint of something else. Maybe it's the despair that Andersen's caught onto—the loss of hope. Resignation for what he is and what he always will be.]
Not bad. You're missing a few pieces, but that's fairly accurate. Congratulations.

[An idiot who, in spite of knowing that he is not a good person, was willing to invest something in him and treat him without the baggage of labels and titles hanging over his head. Only one person did that in his life, back home.]
Your speeches are nonsensical, if I'm to be frank. But you're better company than others in this room.

[Because he appreciates this, as well. Although Girge may not always like what Andersen says, or how he tries to pry, that he's willing to talk to him like this is more than what Girge expects from people at this point.
Of course, though, his usual reception is his own doing, and he knows that well.]

[Ah, well.]
Go back to babysitting your charges.
