It's just a potential strategy. Last week we lucked out because Suzaku decided to kill others on his own, but we can't count on that happening every time. And even if we frame others, that's not guaranteed to work. You're an example of that.

[ with how certain people in this room tried framing the gangster, he means. ]

I don't think we'll be the only ones killing. Kamui, Suzaku, that person who wrote that note. . .

People are getting desperate. And we know Tsurugi is suspicious enough that one day, people are gonna figure him out.

It's an option to keep in mind, but maybe not one we need to take right now.

[ninjay]

[ he glances at tsurugi and just... shrugs, nodding. at least they have his permission to scapegoat him. ]

We'll see. What happens this weekend may affect how people see us as individuals depending on how much they suspect us or not.

Yeah. . . I've gotta be honest, actually.

I don't really intend to come outta this weekend looking nearly as innocent as I did last weekend.

[which is probably what they deserve, regardless of their intenions]

Last weekend you actually were innocent, Kaito. This time you won't be. But just remember that no matter how awful you will feel doing this, if you get caught then it'll be a disadvantage to the rest of us. That goes for me, as well, and Yukina, and the three comic relief over there.

I have never doubted you or Yukina, Kaito.

Okay, so that's a lie, I completely doubted you in the beginning. [ they knew each other for like five seconds, sue him. ] But taking a life is one monster, and having to deal with the scrutiny of everyone during the trial after is another. They won't be kind.

. . . I don't expect or need kindness.

No one is ever kind to the bad guys.

You'd be surprised over how wrong you are about that, actually.

[ sympathy can be given no matter the circumstance, depending on the person, even when it isn't deserved. ]

I know you'll do the job, Kaito. You would have never agreed to teaming up with them otherwise.

It's a lot different when the bad guy is someone people formerly thought of as a good guy.

I think the gremlin over there would object to that though. He doesn't seem very thrilled about our options for who's willing to take the deal.

Yeeeeah, he said as much to me right after I told him what the deal was. He already thinks he should be the one to take it.

Isn't this game already bad enough without having to deal with him as the second coming of Craftly?

And I doubt Craftly or the other inhabitants of this realm would wanna be be stuck with his loud mouth for an eternity.
